概述

密度是質量與體積的比值:

ρ=mV\rho = \frac{m}{V}

其中 ρ\rho 是密度,mm 是質量,VV 是體積。密度通常以 g/cm^3kg/m^3lb/ft^3sl/ft^3 表示。

純水在 4 degC (39.2 degF) 時達到最大密度,約為 1000 kg/m^31.940 slug/ft^3。高於此溫度時,密度隨水膨脹而降低。

比重是重量與體積的比值:

γ=mgV=ρg\gamma = \frac{m g}{V} = \rho g

其中 γ\gamma 是比重,gg 是重力加速度。標準重力通常取為 9.80665 m/s^232.17405 ft/s^2

工程筆記

  • 密度與溫度的關係不是線性的。因此,體積膨脹係數在整個溫度範圍內並非常數。
  • 水在 4 攝氏度附近密度最大。這種異常現象在流體靜力學、自然對流、防凍保護和儲罐計算中很重要。
  • 在正常沸點以上,1 大氣壓的表格不再是大氣壓力下的液態水數據;原始來源報告的是飽和壓力下的值。
  • 壓力增加液態水的密度。壓力圖表和高壓表格顯示了 1 大氣壓或飽和、1000 psi 和 10000 psi 之間的差異。
  • 在美制慣用表格中,lbm/ft^3lbf/ft^3 在標準重力下數值相似,但密度和比重是不同的物理量。
